Our process
How it works
Three steps, about twenty minutes, and nothing prints until you approve it.
1. Choose your style
Pick the shape of the tree and the look. An ancestors tree shows where one person or couple came from; a descendants tree shows the family that grew from them. Each comes as watercolor artwork or as a clean chart, in four seasonal palettes and five letterings. The tree on screen changes as you pick.

2. Add your family
Type names in, or bring in a tree you already have from FamilySearch, Ancestry or MyHeritage. Start with the names you know; you can add more anytime, and you can invite relatives to fill in their own branches. Your tree saves as you go and your family's information stays private. If you would rather not do the digging, our team can research your family for you.
Who fits on a tree
Every tree starts with one person or a couple. An ancestors tree holds up to seven generations above them, plus up to three generations of children and grandchildren in the roots. A descendants tree holds up to 600 descendants, plus parents, grandparents and great-grandparents in the roots. Siblings, aunts, uncles, step-parents and other loved ones who do not sit on a main branch can usually be named in the details section.
3. We print and ship
When you say it is ready, we print your tree on museum-grade archival paper, 18×24 inches, framed or unframed, and ship it to you or straight to the person it is for. Shipping is free to the lower 48. Edit and reprint anytime; we keep your tree on file at no cost for as long as you like, and you can delete it whenever you want.
When it arrives
Orders process in 1–2 weeks and typically arrive about a week after that, and when you send your tree to print you can choose expedited shipping if you need it sooner. We also ship to Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the EU, where orders take about 2 to 3 weeks and arrive unframed. Because your tree only prints when you say it is ready, starting early is the easiest way to make sure it lands by the day you need it.

Giving it as a gift
Two ways. Fill it in yourself and have it shipped to them, or buy it today and let them fill it in: at checkout, tell us who it is for, and we email them a private link with your note on the date you choose. Nothing prints until they approve it.
