Tributes & legacy trees

If you've landed here, you might be navigating something difficult. We're not going to oversell this page. A family tree can't undo loss. What it can do is give you something to look at on the wall: proof, in ink and paper, of the people who were here and the ones who came from them.

Why families order tribute trees

Most often, it's after a parent or grandparent has passed and the family wants something more permanent than a photo album. The tree shows the person at the center of the branches they made: children, grandchildren, sometimes great-grandchildren. It hangs in the living room of the surviving spouse, or goes as a gift to each of their children to take home.

Other families order the tree while the person is still living, so they can see their own legacy in front of them. Those are hard, and they're beautiful. They're often the orders we're proudest to have helped with.

What we offer

Tribute trees are the same product as any of our family trees: up to six generations, custom-made art, archival print, framed or unframed. No special category, no separate pricing. Standard order, standard turnaround (about two to three weeks from approval).

If your timing is tight, email us and tell us what you're working with, whether it's a memorial service, a hospice visit, or a final birthday. We won't always be able to rush, but we'll be honest about what's possible and we'll do what we can.

A note on getting the names right

Family trees made for memorial purposes carry extra weight. A misspelled name on a wall-hanging meant to honor someone is a pain that gets pointed at every time the print is seen. We send a digital proof for sign-off before we print, and we welcome as many rounds of corrections as it takes to get every name, date, and relationship right.

Take your time on the proof. Run it past other family members. We're not going anywhere. There's no rush to approve until you're certain.
